Webhooks
This is a shared library for AI bots. Attach a webhook on the bot under Integrations. A new webhook asks for a name, a description, an https URL, a body template, and instructions for the bot. You can send a test. Deleted webhooks sit in the recycle bin until they are restored or removed. This library is separate from the webhook action on an automation rule.
Connections
Connect Zoho Bookings, Calendly, Zoho Desk, and Zoho Cliq. Bookings and Calendly sign-in live on the connection. Bookings also needs the Bookings scopes from OAuth Setup. Desk can have one connection per Zoho org. Cliq allows one connection for the Messenger organisation. Zoho Flow, Zapier, and n8n are reached through webhooks. A request form on the connections hub asks for another connection by name, website, type, and notes.
Automations
Rules run when a Messenger trigger matches. Triggers cover messages, calls, and allowances, for example an SMS received, an inbound call started, or the AI allowance running low. Actions run in order, up to 50: post a webhook, send an email, or send a Cliq message. Cliq actions need the Cliq connection. Each rule can be enabled or disabled. Recent fires show on an existing rule.
APIs
Organisation API keys use the OAuth Setup account. Create a key with a name, scopes, optional test mode, optional allowed numbers and bots, and an optional expiry. The secret is shown once. The developer reference is at zemessenger.com/developers.
Bots and templates sit outside Automation
Bots and message templates are managed on the main dashboard, under Bots and Templates. They are not configured on the Automation screens.
