GETTING STARTED

Setting up ZE Messenger inside Zoho CRM

Install the extension, connect Zoho and Twilio, enable your users, and then set the organisation defaults. The detailed screens are in the setup guides.

Open ZE Messenger in Zoho CRM

Install from the Zoho CRM marketplace when the subscription is active, then open the ZE Messenger web tab. Administration is the sidebar: Subscription, OAuth Setup, Twilio, Settings, Automation, and Usage.

What has to be true first

You need an active ZE Messenger subscription. If the subscription is inactive or still provisioning, an administrator is kept on Subscription and other users see that access is not ready. Seats on the plan limit how many CRM users can be enabled.

Setup order

Start with Subscription, then OAuth Setup, then Twilio (the account, then the numbers), then Users, then System. After that, set the optional pieces: AI, Communication Hours, Inbound Calls, Call Recording, and Appearance. Automation comes after OAuth, and after Twilio if a rule sends messages or starts calls.

Where each guide lives

Use these pages for the screens, a setup call, and the mobile companion.

If something is blocked

OAuth disconnected locks administrators on OAuth Setup and pauses CRM logging. No connected Twilio number means no SMS, voice, or WhatsApp through Messenger. A user without a seat cannot open the app. AI left off keeps bots, AI calls, voicenotes, and smart text off.
